Our programs improve social services by strengthening
the social work profession and social work education programs in
the country selected for BPSW projects.
Objectives of BPSW programs
Sharing professional standards, knowledge,
and skills by:
- Improving the expertise of local social
work professionals
- Developing the expertise of community
workers in local institutions, such as in schools, hospitals,
and NGOs
- Sharing our expertise and know-how to
advance social work practice.
Improving social services in program countries by:
- Offering training for social workers
- Awarding scholarships to social work
students at all university levels
- Creating model programs to develop social
work practice
- Building relationships with relevant
governmental agencies and ministries
- Creating a uniform application of best
practices in the field
- Transforming social work into an accepted,
necessary, and respected part of the country's array of public services.
